Is the Juicebox UL Listed or certified?

The JuiceBox is not yet UL rated, but is UL compliant and built with UL components and cables.  It is currently in UL testing and expected to be done by summer of 2017 (possibly late spring).  The UL process is winding up, although it's been a bit sluggish, we have light at the end of the tunnel.

It is also CE, NEMA, and SAE compliant, and EESS rated. 

 

For permitting purposes, the JuiceBox is rated as a plug-in device, meaning that the subject of permitting is the NEMA plug connection.

As long as this plug (receptacle) is UL listed and installed by a licensed electrician, this is fully passable for permitting purposes. 

 

For rebates, we recommend our ClipperCreek JuiceNet device - it is both ETL and cETL certified and compliant with all utility programs I have seen.

    UL is expected to finish with the lab (per their schedule) in January, an we should be shipping them about 6-8 weeks later.

    My LADWP rebate for JuiceBox Pro 75 got rejected due to missing UL certification. I didn't realize when I bought mine that JBP75 was not UL certified. 

    Are you anticipating new devices or just new software upgrade? Do you think I will be able to resubmit my rebate after UL certification? I was hoping for a $500 rebate when I bought my charger. Got disappointed.

    Amir,

    The Pro 75 is not going thru the UL testing, only our 40A model, and they will not be retroactive.  While the hardware and firmware are virtually the same, there will some small changes.
